The Thoughts of a Thinker

My reflections as I run the race

Welcome Spud!

So here goes to a big welcome to the newest member of the Coomber Family!

Spud

Spud, or Bud as he has been named by my two year old niece, moved in about three weeks ago. He belongs to my oldest brother, Simon, who had him as a racing greyhound where he even used to win him the odd race! But now, sadly, because of injury he has been forced to retire and has since been welcomed to our humble abode!

A typical day for Spud does not involve much, he is very lazy! He likes to go mad and run up and down the garden in the morning about 5 times until he is too tired! He was a sprinting dog after all! Other than that he has the odd burst of madness but spends most of his time lying down either on the grass (as you can see) or in his room. He is living in the garage room that we have with Simon and so far has gone to the toilet twice in there! There is still alot of training to be done to help him be a household dog!

A typical breakfast for Spud is cornflakes and weetabix! Apparently it is supposed to be good for them, so he has it!

Full Length Spud!

Then for dinner he will just have typical dry dog food and also something with it, although on Sunday night he had stake for dinner!

Spud isn’t allowed in the house as Mum is very allergic to animal fur, so we have to try and keep him outside or in the garage room but unfortunately he now knows his food is inside so he often gets in as soon as he can!

Anyway that is my official welcome to our new family member, Spud!
